Homemade Ice Cream

One of the presents that the girls got for Christmas was an ice cream maker that you need to turn by hand (thank you Dad!)  The girls said they wanted to start an ice cream business when we visited a lovely gelato shop in San Francisco and so this was the start of their business!

We’ve made 2 different types of ice cream so far: chocolate gelato and vanilla ice cream.  The chocolate gelato was amazing and very rich and the vanilla was better than anything we’ve brought in the shops.  Best of all once I’ve assembled the ingredients, the girls can churn the ice cream for 15 minutes and then they have their ice cream all ready.

Above is the Little One churning the ice cream (you don’t have to be semi-naked to make the ice cream!) and here is the finished result:

Yum!
